Musicando Academy in Switzerland
Good-level amateur orchestral workshop offering four days of intensive work await participants in the rooms of the splendid medieval castle, surrounded by the Swiss Alps and vineyards, to prepare our final concert to be held at the Castle on Sun March 8th at 4pm (free admission). This year's music programme will combine Schubert's 3rd Symphony and the orchestral version of Debussy's "Children's Corner".
Aigle is a small town of the Rhône river valley boasting good wine, a medieval area with a splendid 12th-century castle that hosts the Museum of vine, wine and labels. Located 20km from Montreux and beautiful Lake Geneva, 40km from Lausanne and 100km from Geneva (and its airport), Aigle is well connected by train and by the N9 highway (exit Aigle). The train station is a 15 minutes' walk from the castle where the workshop will take place.
Accommodation is optional and can be booked individually based on the "accommodation list" provided. Lunches are included in the workshop price, and at night participants staying in Aigle can meet freely for a dinner, a drink or self-organised chambre music.
