New England CHAMBER MUSIC PLAY-IN
Sunday, March 4th, 2018, 12:00 – 6:00
(During ACMP Worldwide Play-in Weekend)
Held At: All Newton Music School, 321 Chestnut Street, West Newton, MA 02465

Just show up: make music, meet new players, have fun.
SCHEDULE:
12:00 - 1:00 
Sign-in & Social hour: Enjoy coffee & snacks, get acquainted, meet new people. If you can, 
please bring finger food and beverages to share (baked goods, nuts, cheese, dips, fruit, 
sparkling water, lemonade etc.) Coffee & tea are provided.
1:00 - 5:00
Chamber Music Playing (trios, quartets, quintets, sextets etc.) Groups form on the hour and 
whenever enough additional players arrive.
5:00 – 6:00
Return music, finish refreshments, exchange contact info, help clean up.
We’ll help form compatible groups for four - 45 minute reading sessions. You can play all 
sessions or just some. Players of all levels are welcome provided they have sight reading ability. 
Beginners are welcome to come listen.
Free for AMC &/or ACMP Members (you can join at the event) All Others: $8.00 at the door.
Bring your instrument and a stand. Some music stands & many pianos are provided. Standard 
repertoire will be available to borrow, or bring music you want to play. Less advanced players 
should bring music suitable for their ability. Attend for all or part of the day. No advance 
registration needed, just show up!
Special requests:
Flute players are requested to bring music for multiple flutes. Be sure to bring music suitable for your ability level
Wind and brass players please bring music for your instrument and various combinations if you 
can
Pianists - there are many pianos available. Please bring a few pieces you would like to play. Our 
library may not have enough duplicate copies for some combinations.
Cellists – some years we have many cellos and other years a shortage. Bring a few pieces for 
multi cellos if you can. Please come – we really want and need you!
Help spread the word to all your musical friends and especially to people new to the area. Please “like” AMC Mountains & Music, and ACMP on Facebook.

Help Musicians around the world: Do you have music, strings (new or lightly used) and other 
music supplies you are not using? Bring stuff to our DONATION BOX at the play in and we’ll get it to people who need it.

Driving Directions: From Boston: Mass Pike (I- 90) to Exit 16 W. Newton/Wellesley. Take Exit 16, Keep Left for 16E W. Newton. Follow sign to 16E. Keep Right for 16 E - Washington Street, pass W. Newton Cinema on right, Turn Right on Chestnut St. Go .8 miles, #321 is on the Right after Prince St. There are 30 parking spaces. Once parking is full, park on Prince Street or Comm. Ave Carriage Rd. straight ahead.
