STAMP String Quartet Workshop, 9am - 4pm

10 November, 2018
Workshop
9:00am
St. Aidan's Music Project

Join the Kazanetti String Quartet, and enjoy spending the day with Mozart and his Quartet in C Major, K. 157.

Already a seasoned musician and composer at seventeen, Mozart was in Milan, Italy composing his opera Lucio Silla where he managed to find time to compose his first set of string quartets. The third work in the set—Quartet in C Major, K. 157—gives us a taste of Mozart’s operatic future with a joyful melody in the first movement; a pensive minor tune with an underlying sense of urgency driven by the accompaniment in the slow movement; and a rollicking presto to close that is great fun to play!

 This STAMP Workshop includes:

  • One-on-one coaching in quartet format
  • Talk by KSQ on historical and performance aspects of the work
  • Performance of the complete work

The one-day, all inclusive price of $165 includes lunch. Due to the individual nature of the coaching and master classes, each workshop is limited to 32 participants.
