About the Event

This is an adventurous & intensive new course for 2020! For advanced (Grade 7 minimum) and professional cellists, this is going to be a musical feast. I founded a cello ensemble a long time ago and we played the Unsung Heroes repertoire that I have arranged, as a Meditation – a musical journey that was played continuously making a concert, more of an event. We had a Long & Short Meditation programme of choral music by some of the greatest composers of the Renaissance and Baroque eras. This is music from the heart to the heart, written by men sure their art had a place in society, written for the buildings that housed it, for Kings, aristocrats and Princes. The new programme will have powerful music from the Romantic era too and we will perform publicly at the course end with lighting for the journey and other media. If you are a professional, going off grid like this, is an exciting way to develop thoughts and ideas as well as being such an experience of great music that feeds the soul. Do get in touch as i can have a cello and bow for you to rent, and I can help with finding a B&B or hotel. Lewes is a delightful, small and friendly town nestling in the South Downs, up-river from the sea easily accessed from Gatwick and London.
