After graduation from Smith College where she majored in Music, Beatrice's life took many turns. She first worked for The American Fields Service followed by a short stint at Time Inc. as a researcher after which she taught Mathematics for 22 years. During this time, in addition to raising two daughters, she played chamber music whenever possible
Beatrice has served on the Boards of the Bowdoin International Music Festival, Young Concert Artists and ACMP. It is tremendously satisfying to support young musicians and watch them grow and mature to become great artists. Encouraging the playing of Chamber Music in all forms is her greatest love.
In the last 20 years with the time to delve into the chamber music literature Beatrice has attended many workshops. To explore the vast quartet literature under the guidance of superb coaches is a tremendous a privilege. She feels so fortunate to be able to continue to play chamber music. As many people tell us, it is good for the soul.
