𝆗 Peter absolutely loves to play quartets and trios with his many music friends in the greater NYC area and he attends numerous chamber music workshops throughout the year. 𝆗

Peter Aupperle, MD is extremely passionate about all aspects of chamber music. He retired from his career as a neuropsychiatrist so that he could pursue his chamber music activities on a more full time basis.

He studied violin and orchestral playing at the Manhattan School of Music and with the Philadelphia Orchestra; however, it wasn’t until he turned 40 that he was exposed to the amazing experience of learning the chamber music repertoire with such delightful music colleagues.

Peter absolutely loves to play quartets and trios with his many music friends in the greater NYC area and he attends numerous chamber music workshops throughout the year.

He is Chair of the ACMP Foundation and is delighted that ACMP provides such a robust amount of grant funding to so many well deserving organizations and members.

Peter is also Vice Chair of ACMP Inc., where he has actively served on most of the ACMP Committees. He developed the Membership & Engagement Committee and is a strong advocate for expanding the scope of ACMP.

Peter and his husband of 30 years, Stewart, live in the Waccabuc hamlet of northern Westchester county. Their parrot, Madison, keeps them continually entertained and they enjoy the rich classical music offerings in the Hudson River region.
