Libraries across North America are helping to remove the barriers that prevent people from playing musical instruments by making instrument loans part of their basic services. Perhaps these special borrowers will become passionate chamber music players along the way!

Members of ACMP responded to this article noting the wonderful sheet music chamber music collections many libraries have. Especially noted are libraries in Portland and Philadelphia. The Hartford Public Library is also the home of more than 10,000 scores from the Helen Rice collection.
