Supporting the Next Generation of Chamber Music Players - From the Top

ACMP has announced a second year of support of the ACMP Young Chamber Ensemble at From the Top on NPR. These funds provide support for the next generation of chamber music players - talented young people with a passion for playing music together in small ensembles.

This year, ACMP will once again support two ACMP Young Chamber Ensembles. Each performs in a live From the Top show that is recorded and then broadcast nationally on NPR. Each time the performance of one of the ACMP Young Ensembles is aired, ACMP receives an on-air credit. In 2018, our name reached over 1.1 million listeners through this program.

The first ACMP Young Chamber Ensemble for the 2018-2019 season is the Bear Quartet from Salt Lake City, Utah. The string quartet ranges in age from 15-17 and study at the Gifted Music School in Salt Lake City. The ensemble is on the LA studio recordings on February 24, 2019, Guest Host: Pianist Peter Dugan, performing String Quartet No. 2 in A minor, Op. 13. Movement I.
