The Hollyhock Farm Small-Group Chamber Music Workshop is launching its inaugural year in June 2019. We are hoping to attract a small group of enthusiastic string musicians to study quartet, sextet, or octet music in a rural farm setting in the Potomac Highlands of West Virginia. Coaching us will be Thomas Maternik-Piret, cello professor at the University of North Alabama.
Depending on the number attending, the price structure will be as follows:
If we have a quartet: $650/person If we have a sextet: $600/person If we have an octet: $550/person
The price includes all instruction, food, and accommodations. A local chef will cater meals and will incorporate farm-to-table cuisine as available. Participants will have their own bedrooms and shared bathrooms. We will also include some outdoor activities and one or two performances.
For more information, please contact Dottie Eddis at wvcello@gmail.com or 304-496-7628. The workshop has been cancelled for this year, but please keep us in mind for next summer!
