About the Workshop
The Winter Workshop (a little later in the year this time because of location availability) is a four full day workshop running from Friday 3/31 to Monday 4/3/2023. The repertoire is selected beforehand, with several options for players:
(1) Baroque ensembles (at modern pitch) for strings and some wind/keyboard, coached by Stephen Redfield.
(2) Wind Octet, coached by Doug Dunstan
(3) Clarinet Quartet, coached by Paul Wexler
(4) Chamber Orchestra, which this year is performing the work première of Sinfonietta No. 3 by the late Colin Touchin, commissioned by Kammermusik Workshops in 2019 but so far unperformed because of the pandemic. Conducted by Roger Coull from the UK.
