About the Play-In

This is the Vancouver, British Columbia 2024 edition of ACMP’s Chamber Music Play-In event.  This year’s Chamber Music Play In for Vancouver is at the Arts Umbrella building (1400 Johnston St.), Fourth Floor on Victoria Day.

• 1 p.m. entry and set up
• 1 to 4:30 p.m. groups form ad hoc for playing chamber music together across three rooms
• 4:30 p.m. meet up in Room 410 for a string ensemble piece to close the event (and a group photo)

What we will do:

• People will draw from the many pieces of music we will have on hand to play movements of pieces, and will form groups in each of the three rooms to enjoy chamber music playing 
• Players can rotate for different movements of a piece to keep the groups new and allow everyone to play
• We will have lots of string quartet, quintet, and sextet music on site
