About the Workshop

The Northeast Chamber Music Seminar, formerly the Lake Placid Chamber Music Seminar, offers adult string players and pianists the opportunity to play, study and perform the great chamber music literature on the beautiful campus of Avaloch Farm Music Institute in Boscawen, NH.
Participants work with a stellar faculty in a relaxed and supportive environment, honing their ensemble and instrumental skills while broadening their musical understanding. Players may come as individuals and/or as part of pre-formed groups. Ensembles receive daily, in-depth coaching and will also have ample time to rehearse on their own. Late afternoons and evenings offer a variety of optional activities, including small and large ensemble readings, master classes, cello choir, Feldenkrais and Yoga workshops, a Faculty Concert, the closing night Participant Concert and multiple opportunities for social gatherings.
