Backyard Baroque

Backyard Baroque is a community baroque ensemble located in central Illinois. Participants include enthusiastic amateur musicians, retirees, music educators, college students and highly-motivated high school students.

As an informal collective rooted in a shared appreciation of early music, we strive to foster learning and enrichment in a welcoming and inclusive space. We welcome string players (violin, viola, and cello) of all skill levels who have a strong interest in baroque performance.

Whether you're a seasoned string player or a passionate amateur our ensemble provides a welcoming space for everyone to explore and create beautiful music.
