I offer chamber music coaching in violin, viola, piano, and voice, with an emphasis on ensemble communication, musical interpretation, listening, and collaborative problem-solving.

I work with players and ensembles at a variety of levels, from students and developing musicians to experienced adult amateurs. Coaching can include repertoire preparation, technique, intonation, rhythm, phrasing, balance, blend, rehearsal strategies, and developing a shared musical interpretation.

As a multi-instrumentalist, I particularly enjoy helping musicians understand their individual parts in the context of the ensemble and helping groups become more attentive and responsive to one another. I can also work with singers and instrumentalists together, including accompaniment and issues specific to collaborating with voice.

My goal is to help ensembles become more confident, independent, and musically connected while keeping the coaching process positive, practical, and enjoyable.
