Louise has worked as a management consultant specializing in business turnarounds in a wide range of sectors. She has served as a corporate executive in the health insurance, pharmaceutical and automotive industries. Also active in the philanthropic community, her cultural and social service posts include current or past service as Treasurer of Associated Chamber Music Players, Chair of Concert Artists Guild, Vice President of Third Coast Percussion, Chair of Chamber Music America, Chair of Chicago Chamber Musicians, Secretary of SongFest, Chair of Jane Addams Hull House Association, Governor of the American Chamber of Commerce of Japan, Trustee of Chicago Sinai Congregation, and Chair of the Community House in Kobe, Japan. She served as a docent in the Lyric Opera of Chicago’s Opera in the Classroom Program and worked as a volunteer teacher for Literacy Chicago. Louise writes the program notes for the Chicago Chamber Music Society’s concerts. She is a current or past member of The Century Association (New York), The Arts Club of Chicago, The Fortnightly of Chicago, The Friday Club, the Chicago Literary Society, and the Economic Club of Chicago.
Louise earned her B.A. with a major in music from Wayne State University with additional undergraduate work at Smith College and The University of Chicago; she earned an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Michigan. More recently she earned a Master of Liberal Arts degree from the University of Chicago and continues course work at that university as a Returning Scholar.
