Background & Offerings

I am a concert cellist who has performed as a soloist and chamber musician all over the world. I have had decades of experience teaching cello and chamber music to students of all ages. My current teaching affiliations are with the New England Conservatory of Music, Chamber Music Conference of the East, Cremona International Music Academy, and others. I especially enjoy teaching cello and chamber music to amateur adult students.

My private lessons and coachings are at my home studio in Wakefield, MA - a suburb of Boston. Those who enroll as students at New England Conservatory (NEC) can also have their lessons or coachings at NEC's campus in Boston. At my home, a Steinway grand piano is available for mixed piano and string ensemble coachings. I have performed and taught most of the standard repertoire for solo cello, string quartet, larger string ensembles, piano trio, piano quartet, piano quintet and some mixed wind, string, and piano repertoire. I believe all students can achieve their greatest potential with knowledgeable explanations, inspiration, practice, and positive guidance. I enjoy discussing all aspects of music with students and seeing them grow as musicians.
