Background & Offerings

I have been working as a violinist in the Boston area for about 20 years now. I am co-concertmaster of the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra, the concertmaster of the Vermont Symphony, and the associate concertmaster of the Rhode Island Philharmonic. I also play baroque violin with the Handel and Haydn Society and new music with various ensembles including the Boston Modern Orchestra Project and the New Gallery Concert Series. And I fit in as much chamber music as I can in my schedule, as it is still the thing I love the most! I have been teaching violin and chamber music on the collegiate level since 1999. I currently teach violin and chamber music at Brown University, and have previously taught at the Hartt School of Music (where I was a member of the Hartt String Quartet), Middlebury College, and the University of Virginia. And I have taught at several chamber music seminars for adult amateurs, including at Point Counterpoint and at Warren Wilson College. I would love to meet and hear you in our new remote learning situations!
