Kimberly coaches both individuals and ensembles at beginner, intermediate, and advanced playing levels. Kimberly is open to online coaching sessions and lessons.
My name is Kim Foster, and I'm a freelance violist living and working in NYC. I enjoy my summer faculty positions with Princeton Play Week, the Summer String-In, and Summertrios, and during the year for weekend workshops with Music Etc at the Jersey Shore. I have coached and performed as faculty an as a guest artist with the Alaria Chamber Music program in NYC, perform chamber music regularly with members of The Orchestra of St. Luke's, Orpheus Chamber Ensemble, and the NY Philharmonic. My training was through the Eastman School of Music where I studied with George Taylor, and at Yale where I studied with Jesse Levine.
I am often described as patient, friendly, supportive, and expert at pinpointing exactly what needs to be worked on to achieve the greatest level of improvement. I can work equally with beginners through advanced players, and have a small studio in Brooklyn where I teach both in person and virtually. Contact me for a free consult, and I look forward to hearing from you soon!
