Background & Offerings

I am an active violin and viola performer and teacher in South Florida. I received my bachelors, masters, and doctoral degrees in viola performance from Vanderbilt, SUNY Purchase, and the University of Miami Frost School of Music respectively. I have been teaching violin and viola students from beginners through advanced players for over ten years. I have been on the faculties of Miami Dade College and the Killington Music Festival. I have surveyed a broad array of teaching materials and methods and have developed my own materials and methods I have in mind to publish in due time. I am particularly interested in using music theory knowledge to unlock an easy and fluid performance technique. Beyond technique, I appreciate the special moments we experience performing great repertoire with passion and joy.
