Chaparral Chamber Music Workshop is a weekend where you’ll be immersed in music in a relaxed, friendly environment.
Meet new friends, play great music, eat great food at Chaparral Chamber Music Workshop in the cool pines of Prescott, AZ!
Haven’t done much chamber music? CCMW is a great intensive introduction.
Coming with a pre-formed group? CCMW is an opportunity to work with experienced coaches on a new piece or on repertoire you’ve been playing.
Attending as an individual? You’ll be matched with compatible players at CCMW, learn new music and make new musician friendships.
Adult learner on your instrument? CCMW has an Adult Learners group for you!
Playing in a small ensemble is very entrepreneurial as the players take turns being the leader. (Who needs a conductor!)
New to coached workshops? CCMW schedule allows for time with your group members alone and time for a coach to join you. The coaches will assist with ensemble issues, breathing, dynamics, intonation, articulation, bowings.
The skills you learn or hone at CCMW will apply to all large and small ensemble playing!
Faculty: Katherine Shields (Director-strings), Stefanie Gardner (woodwinds), Andrew O’Brien (piano), Maria Flurry (percussion), Zachary Bramble (composer)
Workshop Final Concert is at 3:00 PM Sunday June 2, Trinity Presbyterian Church, 630 Park Avenue, Prescott, AZ.
