About the Play-In

ACMP is joining forces with NAOC councilor Arlene Hajinlian again on Sunday, November 5 at 3pm at Broadway Presbyterian Church in NYC for a big en masse Play-In as a benefit for Music for Food, with the help of conductor Ben Grow at the helm. We will play Handel’s Water Music and Concerto Grosso, Op. 3 No. 1, Telemann’s Ouverture-Suite, TWV 55:B11 ‘La Bourse’ (“The Stock Market”), Wagner’s Siegfried Idyll and for the winds – Mozart’s Serenade no. 10 in E-flat major, K. 375.

The wind, brass and piano spots are already full (and overbooked!) since we sent an announcement and RSVP link to all ACMP members in the NY metropolitan area a couple weeks ago, but…

We are still looking for string players! (especially double bass)

STRING PLAYERS: Please RSVP by emailing Arlene Hajinlian at ahajinlian@gmail.com

Arlene will send you a link to the sign up sheets and to all of the pieces on IMSLP. Please print your own part, download the music on your iPad or bring whatever printed edition you already have, and bring a music stand and stand light if you think you need one.

Suggested minimum donation: $20

We will accept cash or check donations (checks payable to “Broadway Community” with “Music for Food” in the memo line) at the door.

Or you can donate online before the event here.
