The workshop takes place at the Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center which is located on 80 acres of restored prairie and mixed hardwood forest surrounded by the Root River, the perfect setting for pre-formed groups of strings, or strings and piano, to lodge and gain inspiration. The campus is located near the enchanting town of Lanesboro, rich in natural resources and cultural history.
The 2024 Adult Workshop weekend features individual group sessions with each member of Artaria, an enjoyable large group score identification session, a naturalist guided walk through fall foliage, personal time for rehearsals and sight reading, and communal dining.
On Saturday evening, Artaria gives a stand-up performance for the community at Lanesboro’s destination “Sylvan Brewery” where you can sample a flight, and on Sunday afternoon, participant groups enjoy performing for each other and friends “on the Hill”. The Artaria String Quartet has hosted the Adult Workshop at the EBELC annually since 2000.
