Held at the University of Texas at Austin Butler School of Music in July, the multi-week chamber music camp provides musical opportunities for musicians from youth to adult. Activities include chamber music coaching, chamber orchestra, and music electives such as improvisation and composition. Workshop participants will also have masterclasses and formal performances in Bates Recital Hall. Participants of all ages will work with leading local and world-renowned visiting artists. Woodwind, brass, string, and piano players welcome!
The Austin Chamber Music Workshop offers two youth options: a half-day Primary Division for ages 7–10, and a full-day Young Artists Division for ages 11–18. Financial assistance available for both. There is also an Adult Division for ages 18 and up, designed for intermediate to advanced avocational players. All Workshop participants will receive FREE tickets to select concerts during the Austin Chamber Music Festival, taking place throughout the summer.
