Have you ever played Baroque music with a harpsichord? If yes, when was the last time you did that? The Hamline-Midway Chamber Music Ensemble is calling all musicians in the Twin Cities to play Baroque music during the ACMP (Associated Chamber Music Players) 2024 worldwide Play-In Weekend on Sunday, May 19, from 3-6pm (doors open at 2:30).
We will have two 45-minute sessions playing Baroque music with the harpsichord in the unique Baroque Room in St. Paul (we will email you the music sheet download links in advance) , with volunteer performances in the last hour and a cookie reception. This Play-in is also open to non-playing listeners. Let’s celebrate May as National Chamber Music Month together with beautiful Baroque music!

What is a play-in? A play-in is an informal opportunity for musicians of all levels to join a group and read through some repertoire. It can be a fun way to get to know musicians in your area, explore new musical genres, and form collaborations.
This event was made possible, in part, through the support of Associated Chamber Music Players (www.acmp.net). The mission of ACMP is to stimulate and expand the playing of chamber music for pleasure among musicians worldwide, of all backgrounds, ages, and skill levels, by connecting people and supporting chamber music activities for individuals, groups, and institutions.
