About the Masterclass

This Chamber Music Masterclass is about how I use my Conscious Listening™
approach in teaching collaborative listening. Conscious Listening™ is a skillset to elevate communication and collaboration. We work on the ability to sense what your partners are doing and to cue them effectively so they know what your intentions are, in order to create a unified artistic vision and a seamless give and take.

This includes verbal, physical, and intellectual communication.

Each of the three ensembles will have a 25minute slot that involves a 5-7minute selection followed by coaching. For this event, Grammy Award winning violist Masumi Rostad will co-teach with me. There will be time for casual interaction.

Limit to three pre-formed groups, preferably piano and strings. Intermediate to advanced level. Please email a 1 minute video to thenutmegstudio@gmail.com.

The applications will be first come first served. I am looking for participants who can perform pieces that are appropriate for their own level of training, and who are open to learning new ideas. Visit website for pricing – scholarships may be available. Thank you!
