Easton Chamber Music Festival

About the Festival

10th Easton Chamber Music Festival is planned for June 26-28, 2026. We invite 40 amateur musicians to participate in intensive chamber music program.

Participants receive 7+hours of ensemble coaching during the festival led by an internationally renowned faculty members. The coaching is in a masterclass format. However, we rotate faculty in such way that each ensemble is coached by 2 or 3 faculty members. The reasoning behind it is two-fold: to give participants a different perspective in terms of musical interpretation and rehearsal style as well as provide expertise tailored specifically to the type of the ensembles. In addition to the masterclasses participants have an option to attend 4.5 hours of faculty rehearsals, participate in sight-reading sessions, and perform at the final concert. Furthermore, participants attend a one-hour choral workshop as a part of the festival. Finally, everyone at the festival have meals together and participates at after-concert soirees. The atmosphere of all-chamber-music making and interaction, musical and social, between participants, faculty, and the audience is paramount to the spirit of the ECMF.

The ECMF concerts and events emphasize works by women composers, composers of color, and LGBTQ+ composers. Events and concerts take place at the Covenant Congregational Church in Easton. Last year almost 3000 listeners attended the ECMF concerts and watched the broadcasted performances.
