About 70 musicians gather for a spring weekend of chamber music reading, food, and fun at scenic University of North Georgia in the heart of the Georgia mountains. Mixed strings and winds, plus piano. Friday evening through Sunday afternoon. All playing is informal. Competent sight-reading and nice personality are required. No instruction provided. Adults only. Amateurs and professionals welcome. Prior year attendees get first opportunity to return. Hiking, shopping, and other optional activities round out the retreat. The campus is a short walk to the quaint downtown Dahlonega shops and sights.
The entire weekend, including food (six meals) and lodging, is $275 for double occupancy and $350 for single occupancy. Every dollar goes to the facilities, food, bedding, etc. No profit is made.
