About the Play-In
The Hausmann Quartet invites you to a chamber music mixer/reading party! This event is free and open to all instrumentalists with an emphasis on string and piano players. It will take place on Wednesday, March 19th from 6-9pm at St. Paul’s Cathedral, 2728 Sixth Ave, San Diego, CA 92103.
We will have sheet music (though you are welcome to bring your own), several breakout rooms with pianos for trio, quartet, quintet and sextet readings as well as a larger space to gather and read through some larger group string orchestra music, all with members of the Hausmann Quartet leading and joining in on the fun!
Food and drink will be potluck: please bring your own snacks and beverages to share (adult beverages are allowed/encouraged;).
The mixer is open to players of varying abilities; we will loosely organize the first groups based on your self-rated registration info, but we encourage some musical chairs as the evening progresses.
