The Old Avoca Schoolhouse in Avoca, Nebraska will be streaming an on line “Irish Medleys Workshop” for folks who play violin/fiddle, viola, cello, bass, and mandolin.
The Workshops will be on Tuesday, March 16, at 7 PM – 8 PM, CST, and on Wednesday, March 17, at 10 AM – 11 AM, CST.
Each participant (US residents only) will receive a copy of our “Irish Medleys for Two” book, written for the instrument of their choice.
The collection features 60 tunes arranged for two players into 28 medleys. Barn dances, flings, hop jigs, hornpipes, jigs, laments, marches, planxtys, polkas, quadrilles, quicksteps, rants, reels, slides, slip jigs, and waltzes are included.
During the Workshop, we will play, and experience what makes these tunes so special.
Pre-registration required. The fee for the “Irish Medleys Workshop” is $25.00.
