A week-long immersive study of Beethoven’s String Quartet in F Major, opus 135 given by the Manhattan String Quartet. This long-standing conference is unique in its concentration on one major work from the string quartet canon. Participants are matched with players of similar levels, and groups are reconfigured each day. Two hours coaching/rehearsal each morning and afternoon. Lecture on the movement being studied each day, with demonstration by the MSQ. Accommodations in modern facilities at Colgate University in scenic Hamilton, NY.
