Whether recording or touring with top tier players like Pat Metheny, Kenny Barron & Terri Lyne Carrington or presenting her own heralded music, Linda May Han Oh is “one of the most dynamic rising stars in jazz today” (Wall Street Journal).
Her music is complex and beautiful, filled with unexpected compositional elements, sometimes combining electronics with acoustic instruments, always demonstrating a deft understanding of polyrhythms and harmonic sophistication.
Linda May Han Oh is a renaissance woman carrying the torch of her generation; it is an honor to present her.
Along with her abundant work as a side-person (she has over 100 recording credits to her name), Oh has had five critically acclaimed releases as a leader.
Her most recent recording, Aventurine, is a double quartet album featuring a string quartet and the vocal group Invenio.
She is an IAJE Sister in Jazz scholar, a semi-finalist in the Thelonious Monk International Bass competition, a recipient of the ASCAP Young Jazz Composers Award, has written for large and small ensembles, & composed music for film.
As a bandleader and a member of the Pat Metheny Quartet she has appeared at festivals and noted venues throughout the world.
