Manchester and the Mountains Chamber Music Workshop

About the Workshop

A unique and non-competitive hands-on learning and playing experience for amateur string players of all playing abilities. We also have some space for a few pianists and winds. This 4 day workshop will be housed in the historic “Inn at Manchester” and the charming “Hampton Inn” in Manchester , Vermont. We have several venues in which our excellent coaching staff will work with all participants in small pre-assigned chamber ensembles. Repertoire and groups will be chosen by our Artistic Director, Stefanie Taylor; new participants will be required to send a very short audio or video in order to be placed correctly. The program’s focus will be on playing the selected repertoire, authentically, as chamber group musicians.

And, there will be down time when our participants and their guests can partake in many of the activities and cultural experiences in the Manchester area. We have also reached out to a local, well respected, glass blowing shop in the town should you be inclined to use your hands, not only on playing beautiful music, but on making some artistic piece of glasswork to take home with you.
