About the Performance
The DC Chamber Musicians return to Calvary Lutheran Church in Silver Spring to observe Martin Luther King Jr. Day 2025 with a concert of works by Black composers:
- Samuel Coleridge-Taylor Five Negro Melodies, Op. 59
- Alvin Singleton Fifty Times Around the Sun
- Frederic C. Tillis Spiritual Fantasy No. 24, “Little Light of Mine”
- Kyle Simmons String Quartet in D minor (Premiere)
Adults $10, Seniors/Students $7.50, Children under 13 free.
