We are pleased to present an exciting Spring Musicale program that includes a wide variety of Czech composers in celebration of the Year of Czech Music 2024. Our performers comprise talented rising stars from The Juilliard School in the pre-college and college divisions as well as seasoned New York players.
Juilliard’s newly formed Cabaletta Quartet – with first violinist Chili Ekman, second violinist Henry Rogers, violist Pearl de la Motte, and cellist Vanny Hu are featured along with the young soprano Nicole Goldstein, a graduate of Oberlin Conservatory. A program highlight will be the world-premiere of a concert transcription of Bedřich Smetana’s iconic symphonic poem Vltava, newly arranged by composer/pianist Moshe Knoll and performed by the entire ensemble of musicians appearing in this event.
