String & Piano Chamber Music Connections!

About the Workshop

Join us for this wonderful weeklong chamber music camp that builds on the long history of Hochstein’s successful chamber program, which dates back to the 1920s! For violinists, violists, and cellists entering grades 1-12 and pianists entering grades 7-12, NYSSMA Level 3-6+ (youngest participants should read music and pianists must be good sight-readers).

Students of similar ages and abilities will be placed in a trio, quartet, or quintet and also take part in a larger chamber orchestra. Camp will include daily coachings, presentations on special topics, and a masterclass by a special guest artist. Advanced students will also have the opportunity to be considered for participation in a special Advanced Chamber Ensemble.
