About the Play-In
An afternoon of 3 rotating sessions of reading chamber music with varying sized & compositioned groups–from trios to octets. Our venue in north Portland has 10 rooms & 3 pianos. One week before, players receive assignment to their rotating groups, changing each session–based somewhat on ability. Piano pieces ( & some requests) are pre-assigned. Otherwise a group chooses from our large onsite music library. Usually we can accommodate most string players, but it’s always first registered, first chosen.
