About the Workshop

Week-long (Saturday to Saturday) workshops are provided for pre-formed groups with professional coaching available for quartets, quintets, sextets with strings, winds, piano. 

The house “Val-du-Séran” is located in the Northern part of the Valromey-Valley. Located in the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region in the east of France, the nearest village, Ruffieu, is about one mile away. Two impressive mountain crests (800–1500m) in the West and the East add to the spectacular landscape. In the South, the valley extends into the Rhône Valley.

Dates in 2020:  May 23 – 30, June 6 – 13, June 27 – July 4, July 11 – 18 (booked, piano quintet), July 25 – August 2 with a small final concert, August 22 – 29 (booked, string quartet), September 5 – 12.

Participation fee for a normal week (Saturday evening to the following Saturday morning): € 501, which includes single room with bath, full board, coaching, and free time activities.
