The Chamber Music Course for Amateur Musicians started in 2015 and counts 7 editions already. Since 2021, it is a collaboration between AtriaCultura (professional ensemble and cultural platform) and ClàssicAmateur (Catalan association of amateur musicians), meant as a space where to socialize, share and feel comfortable through chamber music making; a positive experience where music makes us grow not only as a musician, but as a person too. With this idea, the project consists of an intensive 4-day course that combines a minimum of 3h of chamber music lessons with workshops and activities where to meet and share with the whole group. Participants can apply with their own group or individually. New groups are created with the individual applications considering level and background, and all the repertoires are assigned according to the specific profiles.
Coaches
Carla Rovirosa, cello | Eloy Orzaiz, piano | Guillem Cabré, violin-viola | Júlia Santos, flute
The group of coaches has a common understanding of chamber music making through their experience as an ensemble, but at the same time create a rich and complementary approach from their individual experiences. Therefore, all the groups work with at least 3 of the coaches to benefit from that.
Covid19 protocols
This is a live event and health and safety are main priorities, especially on this occasion. Therefore, we have developed protocols strictly in line with the authorities’ recommendations such us ventilation, distance, use of bigger spaces and reduced groups for the workshops.
