About the Play-In

The DC Chamber Musicians and Classical Musicians of Metro DC again join the ACMP World-Wide Play-in Bandwagon on June 12, 2022 1:00 pm to 5:00 in downtown DC

Join 30 to 35 fellow musicians for a comfortable, casual and non-competitive afternoon of chamber music comraderie!  ALL are welcome, but not recommended for beginners.

Event Fee: $20, but HALF-OFF for the first ten registrants using the discount code DCCMACMP

We do ALL the work for you
— provide the facilities (six rooms, two with great pianos).
— select the repertoire (largely based on your suggestions)
— provide links for e-copy of the repertoire (we can print on request for the printerless)
— match people into ensembles with repertoire

All you have to do is
— show up and meet fellow musicians
— have a great time playing in up to three sets of music

Event runs from 1:00 to 5:00, with three seventy minute sessions.

Prep suggested but sight-reading is OK too. Also be opportunities for ad hoc play.

Your event registration fee is fully refundable if cancelled within two weeks of the event. (This takes a lot of planning, and late drop-outs require considerable rework). Simply reply to your registration confirmation e-mail to request a refund.

Due to the on-going pandemic, all participants are required to present proof of full vaccination and sign waiver and health safety protocol documents. Masks unlikely unless BA.2 turns ugly…

If you have suggestions for repertoire, please e-mail Info@DCCOS1.org and provide the IMSLP link if possible.   Bring hardcopy (all individual parts) as well for spontaneous open sessions. Bring a music stand as well.
