22 June, 2018 to 24 June, 2018

Easton Chamber Music Festival invites string players and a limited number of pianists and wind players to participate in chamber music workshop. Pre-formed groups are also welcomed. Masterclasses are led by a renowned international faculty. In addition to the workshop, participants attend open faculty rehearsals, sight-read in impromptu-formed ensembles at soirees, and perform at the final concert. The other two concerts are given by the faculty members and guest artists. The performances take place at the beautiful sanctuary of the Immaculate Conception Church and the historic Oakes Ames Memorial Hall. All concerts are free to the public. The participants have the option of being hosted by Easton families during the festival, stay at nearby hotels, or they may choose to commute to the festival daily activities. Easton, a picturesque New England town, is located about 45 minutes away from Boston, MA and about 30 minutes away from Providence RI. There is ample choice of restaurants and a variety of walks and trails in the area. Easton is known for its connection to the Ames family, and is the home to several building and public projects designed by the prominent American architects H.H. Richardson and Frederick Law Olmsted.
