About the Workshop

In its 20th year, the Intermuse International Music Institute and Festival (www.imif.us) has been lauded as an exceptional summer solo and chamber music program for string players and pianists. With a maximum enrollment of 25 students, IIMIF offers a uniquely individual approach that is both challenging and supportive. The focused, hard work in lessons and rehearsals is balanced by good stretches of the body in daily yoga sessions, and mind in interdisciplinary workshops and nightly discussions. 

Our interdisciplinary curriculum is crafted to give young musicians an array of experiences that will elevate musicianship and artistic confidence. Faculty are renowned performers and passionate, seasoned teachers who consistently lead participants to growth that extends far into their studies and careers. 

IIMIF will take place June 16-25 on the campus of Mount Saint Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, MD. All-inclusive tuition is $2,200; financial aid is available. More information is available on www.imif.us
