KentMusic in Seattle
KentMusic offers experienced string players the opportunity to spend six gratifying days studying major works from the string quartet repertoire. Participants receive high-level coaching from world-class performing musicians, attend lectures and concerts by the faculty artists, and have ample time for informal quartet readings and socializing.
At the core of KentMusic is the opportunity to receive intensive, daily coaching on one or two quartets that all participants must prepare in advance. In 2019, Beethoven String Quartet No. 11 in F minor, Op. 95, "Serioso”. Coaches rotate among quartets that are carefully matched and assigned each day.
