Development Consultant ACMP Staff
𝆗 Amie loves to combine chamber music playing with a delicious meal, preferably as a pot-luck effort! 𝆗

Amie grew up on New York’s upper west side, attending the Manhattan School of Music preparatory division and playing lots of chamber music. She went on to study the immensely practical subjects of German literature and comparative religions at Swarthmore College. After that, she completed graduate degrees in violin performance, studying with Mitchell Stern and Joyce Robbins.

After graduate school, she moved first to Amsterdam and then to Cologne to focus on baroque violin and perform with period instrument groups. This led to several years of extensive touring, mostly throughout Europe but also farther afield, including a memorable tour of India and Sri Lanka.

On returning to her hometown, Amie founded and directed Repast Baroque Ensemble, creating compelling and passionately performed programs for New York City audiences, while also working as an active freelancer with period instrument groups.

During Covid, Amie decided to step away from professional performing and work on climate change mitigation. She became a development manager at a local climate action organization in northern Westchester, gaining a deeper understanding of the art (and occasional adventure) of nonprofit fundraising.

She’s now delighted to be part of the ACMP team, strengthening development operations and helping ensure that ACMP continues to be a great resource for chamber musicians around the world. These days, she still gets together with friends regularly to play chamber music–purely for the joy of it.
