Growing up outside of Boston, Evan started piano at the age of 5, and violin at the age of 7, and worked his way up to music director / conductor of his college’s chamber orchestra - although for chamber music now, he primarily plays the viola. Over the past 25+ years, he has held a variety of roles in product management, business development, and operations, at venture-backed startups as well as large technology companies including Amazon and Samsung. After taking a break from music during his early professional career, he returned to playing chamber music (as well as keyboards and electric violin in a bar band) about 15 years ago. Evan especially enjoys playing contemporary music, is a frequent attendee of the CMNC, Chamberfest, and SoCal workshops, and sits on the board of his college orchestra.
Evan lives in the Hayes Valley neighborhood of San Francisco with his wife and son.
