Richard Weinert began piano lessons as a child. He only discovered chamber music in college, and in his twenties decided to study chamber music so he could play with other people. He's happy he did. Throughout two careers, one in international finance and one running a nonprofit helping young musicians start concert careers, he's continually played chamber music with friends and attended numerous workshops for amateurs - known as "chamber music camps" to his family. He joined the ACMP Board for the first time in 2001, was eventually elected Chair and rotated off in 2011. He was delighted to join again in 2018 and has treasured this exciting time for ACMP and chamber music generally.
