Bob is a retired mathematics professor, living in Greenfield, Massachusetts. He is an adult learner, having startied at age 43. He was an avid listener to records and concerts before becoming a player and was thrilled to begin to play the chamber music he loved. He has enjoyed playing in long term quartets whose members became dear friends and also enjoyed pickup quartets with people passing through. Playing music is a wonderful way to make friends. He has attended the Kent Music/Colgate String Quartet Symposium for a dozen years and enjoyed deep coaching in all of the late Beethoven quartets by the members of the Manhattan String Quartet. He would be happy to help visitors to his are to find an opportunity to play.
