Sayoko Yamashita

Sayoko Yamashita, Ed.D, a retired professor of Applied Linguistics in Tokyo, has played the violin since she was young. She is both the Director of International Relations for APA, Japan's nationwide network of amateur chamber players, and president of her local Chuo-sen APA chapter. Sayoko organizes concerts four times a year, and also helms the APA International Chamber Music Festival, which brings overseas and Japanese amateur players together for music and cultural exchange.
