Sean Knox

Chair - Zürich, Switzerland International Advisory Council
𝆗 Sean is always looking for new opportunities to share the joy of music. 𝆗

Sean was born in Pretoria, South Africa.

He is a medical doctor working in the pharmaceutical industry. He holds performers licentiates in chamber music (piano) and cello.
He was privileged to work professionally during his time in South Africa in orchestras & chamber groups and ran a company which provided live music ensembles for events.
In 2003 he moved to London, UK where he played in many orchestras, as well as a string quartet which delved into some non-classical genres of music. He had the opportunity to perform as soloist/chamber musician in venues such as Cadogan Hall, Kings Place and St Paul's Covent Garden.
Since moving to Switzerland in 2013, he has been active as a chamber musician in Zürich and serves on the committee of the European Doctors Orchestra.

Two years ago he started learning the harp - a wonderful journey which is allowing him to rediscover some very basic principles of music again!
