Filarmónica Joven de Colombia

Launched in 2010 by the Bolivar Davivienda Foundation, Filarmónica Joven de Colombia (also known as "La Joven") is a youth symphony orchestra made up of 100 musicians between the ages of 16 and 24. Selected each year through a rigorous audition process, these young people from all regions of Colombia represent the talent of their country at the international level.
La Joven offers them the opportunity to train alongside top maestros through alliances with orchestras such as the Mahler Chamber Orchestra or the Houston Symphony Orchestra, and to perform on stages around the world alongside renowned soloists.
The musicians of the orchestra, in turn, give back what they have received through a social program aimed at the voluntary sharing of their knowledge. Designed as an integral training project, the orchestra also offers them the opportunity to train in various fields of importance for tomorrow's musicians: cultural management, languages, pedagogy, event production, etc., as well as to participate in workshops to develop their integral well-being (physiotherapy, mindfulness...)
