Heartland Chamber Music

Heartland Chamber Music has created a model that presents a distinctive breadth of music education programs and is unique to the Midwest.

Our purpose is two-fold: chamber music education and music outreach serving over 7,000 students through over 350 concerts. The programs of HCM serve students ages three to 80. Each summer, renowned faculty from universities, conservatories, and professional symphonies impart their knowledge and passion for chamber music during student-focused festivals as well as an Adult Workshop for amateurs.

In 2017 HCM began String Sprouts KC an El Sistema inspired FREE early childhood afterschool music program for children ages 3-8. Some of our first graduates are already participating in our summer chamber music festival. The students learn about chamber music from having professionals perform chamber music for them every quarter.

In addition to our chamber music education programs our Hall Pass program presents chamber music concerts at schools and other community centers in the metro.
